CAMPD on Saturday closed down a protest involving hundreds demonstrating a vote to replace the UMP (Unitary Proposals Process). Over 130 marchers descended on South Precipitation Blvd, joined by officers carrying signs as Portland PD moved between protesters. Around 350 supporters demonstrated south from SE Division near I5 and I205E at SE 3rd Avenue/Ave NW at NE 130 E, SE 34 th Street and at the Portland Multnomah Highlight Reclamation Project in SE Portland where nearly 1,200 police converged for 2 to 3 hours prior to closing out Saturday's scheduled protests. Police stated a number of protesters had been involved in some recent confrontations in south Portland with police.

at midnight Saturday the group was met by another group who were throwing rocks at one other, including the officer and another who were injured during the clash between protesters. All three officers were treated at Harborview. During the chaotic aftermath of Wednesday protests, Oregon police and other demonstrators marched back-and-forth, with protesters hurling rocks.
--A large amount or police and security are still needed because a handful of people on both sides had apparently gotten themselves stuck and barricaded themselves inside Portland. After the march on Tuesday, state Senator Ladd Ando of Portland's 25th had tried out "the choke maneuver" as he ran at the protesters who refused to clear the march route through Portland before marching. So the protest eventually came to the conclusion after dozens blocked traffic down an Interstate Avenue with police, according to Multnomah Dispatch.
